Rooftop Concert

I spent last Friday watching Fictionist play a concert I've been looking forward to all year.  Provo city (a small in size but large in awesomeness Utah town) puts on an amazing summer series of Rooftop Concerts on top of a parking garage.  Fictionist was the main attraction last weekend playing a show to who knows how many thousands of people.  The new music was great, the audience was dancing, and if you stood still you would feel the entire parking garage sway to the beat to the music.  Terrifying or invigorating?  Yes.

Here's the thing.  My friend/amazing photographer, Justin Hackworth, took photos for the night (thanks Justin!) - but he took too many photos that were too good.  So now you're about to get a plate full of Fictionist photos including many of my husbands wild hair.  It kind of takes on a personality of it's own.

>> Thanks to Courtney Kendrick, Justin Hackworth, Mindy Gledhill, Sarah Wiley, Trilby Cope, and ALL OF YOU for making Friday night possible!
>> Remember when Fictionist covered Baba O'Riley and my brother played his violin?  That was fun.
>> Did you like the sneak peek of the new songs??

>> I spent this morning reviewing some videos of the 9-11 tragedy and thinking about the innocent lives that were lost 11 years ago.  Here's to remembering those people, their families, and all the many people that were affected that day and everyday after.  Just like Gracie Lou Freebush in Miss Congeniality, I too want world peace.

  1. I've never understood the desire to reach up and touch a musician during a concert. Or, in your husband's case, his hair. The more I think about it, the more creeped out I am. Bleh.

  2. One of the absolutely greatest nights of the year for me! Thanks for making it extra special with the photo op with the guys in the greenroom:) Awesome new music too! Love those guys and love their wives.
