Touring
Hum, Albus, and I are packing our bags and getting ready for a short tour. This is the first time I have ever attempted to bring my dog on tour... the white angel sitting on my should says, "really great idea, Hue!" and the red angel sitting on my opposing shoulder says, "don't take your dog on tour, ps. you smell". Quick pit check - the red angel was spot on about one thing, time will tell about the other. We're traveling to Spokane, Portland, and Seattle and then coming home again. I think I'm lucky because I get to travel to some of my favorite cities (this will be my first time to Portland!) and I get to hear the boys play a bunch of their brand spankin' new songs.
Sometimes when I let my brain wander I like to imagine the future. I see a little house sitting on some green grass with a garage on steroids built out back. It's big enough to hold all of our excessive art and music miscellaneous items. The imaginary sight of this garage makes me giggle and sigh. Next to this oversized structure sits a tour bus that has a little fridge inside, probably some bad carpet/wood panelling, some military style beds, and it's big enough to carry a family from city to city where my husband can play rock shows at night and then hang out with his kids and wife during the day. [lights fade out, music fades in playing "when you wish upon a star... dreams can take you very far... ... ..." cut scene].
Back to reality... come hang out with me in the western USA this weekend!
Thursday / Spokane / A Club
Friday / Portland / Mississippi Studios
Saturday / Seattle / High Dive
>> I'm going to be bring the book "Crossed" with me on tour since I just finished the audio version of "Matched". This series revives my inner 14 year old spirit but (thankfully) leaves the acne untouched. Family fun had for all. Have you read it? Liked it?
>> I loved this post about the word "busy". I think I'll try to eliminate this word too, along with that other nasty word, "should".
>> Look how cute my nephew is.

I just visited Portland for the first time this summer. It's a lovely city! (And VooDoo Doughnut lives up to the hype and is worth waiting in line for, P.S.!)
ReplyDeletelike you ever had acne. keep those boys in line!
ReplyDeleteLove that trilogy! Can't wait for the last one to come out. I still like Xander better than Ky even after the 2nd book, what about you?
ReplyDeletemy dad has one of those garages...he was a master sculptor for nissan...and now his studio is a two story four car garage that holds kilns, sculptures, skill saws, cabinets full of markers/pens/paints...my kids LOVE 'the workshop'.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Portland and this would be a fantastic reason to visit. Unfortunately, I will be on the road, myself...sigh.
