angels we have heard on high

Hey blog friends, I have a little treat for you today!  It's actually a double treat, kind of like an oreo dipped in chocolate.  Have you tried those?  Who even thought of doing that anyway?  As if an oreo isn't sweet enough, someone actually thought, "hey, we should take that chocolatey thing and dip it in more chocolate".  Man, people are crazy.  Crazy awesome.

I've had a lot of people ask to hear some of the christmas album, and I've also had a lot of people ask about how I did the album art.  So, here I am, handing out my virtual chocolate dipped oreos.  Enjoy.

This song was the most atmospheric of all the tracks on the CD. Didn't Hum do a great job with the guitar effects and layering the tracks? When we went into the studio to record vocals, the guy helping us listened to it and laughed and said, "woah, it's like Christmas on drugs! Merry christmas, here's a doobie.". I guess it does have that alternate-reality thing going on. I think everybody hears and imagines heaven differently. I think most people hear heaven with jingle bells and a C major chord. I must be strange, because I think I hear a little bit of heaven in this spacey song.

29 good vibes:

I love it. Beautiful. It feels like getting a glimpse of the way somebody individually worships. Very cool.

I know this is going to make me sound like your mother...or maybe your grandmother? But as your room mate I can take some extra liberties. I am seriously just so proud of you! It is so amazing how accomplished you are and how you found what you love and are making a living doing those things. So admirable. And so you. I remember sitting at breakfast just a year ago talking about where you wanted to take your art and your blog and your music and you have done it. You are awesome and I love you. And I can't wait to see you in a few weeks!!!

Oh my goodness. I am in love. I love your interpretation of the song. The instrumentals remind me very much of explosions in the sky. Your voice is beautiful. Ahh, and the album art? It's sweet! This is definitely going to be on repeat all day long :)

I always feel a little funny commenting on blogs of people I don't actually know, but I had to let you know that I love you and your husband's version of "Angels we have heard on high." It is so unique and refreshing!

Amazing. So nice to have a different sound but same feeling to the same Christmas songs we hear over and over. Its about time! Sad I missed both of your deals for the CD over the weekend (and yesterday). I love to sing with my husband and hope that we can someday do something similar for ourselves.
