Remember how I told you Hum's little sister was getting married? Well it happened, it's a done deal, no going back. I just wanted to show her off for a second because she was bee-autiful.
...one of these things is not like the other... oh shoot, it's me.
And now for a little stroll down wedding memory lane...
I had someone request via formspring to see some wedding photos. Hum and I have been married for about 4 1/2 years and here's the proof.
Hum's little sister had the most perfect wedding. I decided I'd like a new one. Redo please! We got married way back before I knew I wanted to be a Hue {we're talking about a communications major here} and before Hum knew he wanted to be a Hum {engineering major all the way}. I know exactly what I would like for my re-do wedding, it would be simple and delightful. I wouldn't change my dress... too much. I liked it. I wouldn't change my cake, it was gorgeous. I wouldn't change the music, it was amazing. And of course, I wouldn't change the husband, best detail of all. But... I just might change everything else. Who else would like a redo on their wedding?

So cute! My husband and I were married that same place as well.
ReplyDeleteWedding's now days seem a lot more 'cool' than they were waaay back when I was married ( 6 years ago). I Love everything about my wedding-- but I do wish I could have included dancing. This seems crazy now because at the time I was Totally against it. It would have been so lovely though. I wish I wasn't such a stinker.
Cool, I don't wish I had any redo of my wedding because well I'm 14 I don't want to get married yet but great for them. Tell Robbie he has an awesome mustache in that first picture!!!
ReplyDeleteyou classy lady, you!!
ReplyDeletei would totally redo, btw.
I just got married last year, and I can already think of so many things I would change. I did love it, but there are some things I would do differently (like timing, etc.). I guess I'll just have to throw some fun parties in the future and wear a pretty dress again!
ReplyDeleteBest couple in America. I always want to redo my wedding. Mostly just so I can eat the food that I never got to eat. Also, there would totally be cats involved. And ELO. Just sayin.
ReplyDeleteI'm not married yet but at this time I think that I would be fine with skipping the reception stuff and just getting married...I'm sure that will change when/if I get married and later down the road I'm sure I will wish that I had changed some things :)
ReplyDeleteBTW the pictures are great! Everyone looks fantastic!
Only redo I would do is having a backup camera. We got married in Vegas on the super cheap, but it was still fun and my closest friends were there. However my camera decided to act up and most of the photos of the ceremony are blurry.
ReplyDeleteI would totally go back and redo some things about my wedding - and it was only a year ago! Haha. But I definitely love your dress :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way - I totally know Emily! Actually, I know a bunch of your husband's family. The Connollys are in my stake, and some of them are in my ward. Dean and Joan were even my leaders! Small world!
M loves D
Every time I go to a wedding I come back thinking the same thing, "man, it would've been cool to have those colors," or "I wish that I wouldn't have worn that." Alas.
ReplyDeleteI looove your dress! And that place you got married at. It's so...I dunno, retro Hollywood elite fab. Or something similar. You guys are too cute. :D
ReplyDeleteYou're SO cute and I LOVE your dress!
ReplyDeleteI'm going on my 12th anniversary and I would LOVE a re-do!! But I don't want the hassle of putting it together and I don't want to pay for it. Hmmm...I guess I don't want a re-do. But I know what you mean. If I did mine again, I would do SO MANY THINGS different. Did you know I had my wedding reception at Molly Green's Pub at Brighton? Yeah...after getting hitched in the Salt Lake Temple. That's a good story.
That's funny that you say that because I feel that way, too! I think most people do.. at least that's what I've discovered. I LOVE your dress, always have. I wanted one like it (but not exactly, because I want to be awesome and original and originally awesome... while copying you). I remember like months after we got married thinking I would pick a totally different photographer and invites and lots of it. But. It is what it is. Would totally still pick the same guy though.
ReplyDeleteI think the only thing I would redo is having a professional photographer. A friend of the family did it and she was great, I just look at other people pictures and with I had more artistic shots!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been married for very long, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who would want a "redo!" Maybe when we're all old and cute we can renew our wedding vows and have a reception with cake and a boquete and all that jazz :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely wish I could redo my wedding. I did it all when I was 18 and had no opinion or care of what it looked like. I just wanted to be married and start my REAL life! haha But now I see all the planning and details that SHOULD have gone into my wedding (after watching many more friends and family get married) and I definitely wish I had an opinion on things back then. Oh well. :) I'll just be a crazy wedding-planning mom when Grace gets married one day and live through her like most moms. haha!
ReplyDeleteI am constantly redoing my wedding in my head! LOL I loved a lot of the things about my wedding, but there are many things that I would change. We are about to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, and I have decided that we will do a fun vow renewal on our 5th anniversary for this exact reason. I want to put the current "me" into it! :) Simply said, I understand completely. :)
