home is where the junk is

Hum and I have been homeless for a few weeks.  This seems to be a reoccurring habit since we've been married.  We're always up for an adventure, but mid-adventure we start thinking we're actually not that adventurous at all.  You know what I mean?

I'm happy to say our most recent homeless streak ended yesterday.  Hallelujah!  Now that we have a bed, kitchen, and bathroom... I think I'll leave the unpacking for another day!

This will be the first official time we've lived upstairs.  I am excited for it.  I have heard once you go upstairs you never want to go back, or rather down... are the rumors true?

The walls are a nice color, but just not quite enough color for me.
Go ahead, say it... color snob.  I know what I am and I've come to peace with it.

Albus is sort of helping me choose colors, if you have any further wisdom than he does... I'd love to hear it.

ps. you were thinking about... colors?

  1. Love the yellow door! At least the worst part (packing/moving) is over. Now the fun starts - organizing, and finding a place for everything!

  2. How fun! A new home :) I, too, love the yellow door and if I had walls that I was allowed to paint, I'd be a color snob too! So color snob away!! :)

  4. I have always loved an upstairs apartment until I had a kid and had to carry a baby, groceries and laundry. Now downstairs is a dream!

  5. I'm loving that green. I think it would go super well with the door.

We live in a teeny dinky apartment in SLC where we can't paint. But when we move, Ooh shall the colors come out!

  6. NEVER have the carpet and the wall even remotely close in color, I did that with my room and it just turned out horribly

  7. You could pull off an awesome creamsicle...but what if you added a little rust to it so you didn't feel like eating everything? Though if you do that you'll have to add some rug that is not orange-ish, right?
