weekend events

My weekend was lovely, thanks for asking.  And yours?
I went to see fictionist play a show with a hot date, don't tell Hum!  He did fall asleep mid-date though...

Fictionist wooed the crowd.  What, you want proof?  Okay.

The next day I met another very gentlemanly musician {remember that conversation we had?}, I met Mr. Donny Osmand himself!  If you're my age you're probably not jumping off your seat about that - but your mother definitely is!  :)  Apparently Donny was the first and last person from Utah to get on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine about 35 years ago.  He wanted to make sure they got on the cover because he loves their music and he wants to make Utah proud.  Here's the video he posted:

They sang each others songs, talked music, and had a good time.  I was impressed with what a nice guy he was - very kind and genuine, I can definitely see why all the ladies fell for him!  He's been a huge success since he was 5 or 6, wow.  So here's the big question - how do you think he managed to remain humble and kind 50 years later?  I can't think of any other childhood successes that I could say the same thing about!  It almost seems impossible with that much fame - but he did it.  He's an inspiration.  Here's my little sneaker video, if you're into that kind of thang.

Lastly, I got to meet a handful of people that read my blog this weekend!
Thanks for saying hi, it was lovely to meet you!
